Modelling dynamic maritime traffic complexity with radial distribution functions

The identification of maritime traffic complexity is important to guide surveillance operators towards the more critical areas for real-time monitoring situation. To identify and map effectively, this paper proposes a dynamic model based on radial distribution functions. For modelling complexity, three sub models are established first by addressing speed, course position ships. each sub-model, main variable used building function model, variation method estimate complexity. Finally, overall can be identified mapped synthesizing results from sub-models.
